The Taylorville Memorial Hospital Transitional Care Unit is certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health and accredited through Joint Commission. Our licensed and highly qualified staff is always ready to assist our residents. An Interdisciplinary Team provides a comprehensive approach to your care in conjunction with your physician. Our progressive rehabilitation program prepares the resident for maximum functioning ability.
Our Transitional Care Unit staff is also concerned with your social well-being and provide activities daily. Services are provided to people of all ages without regard to race, color, or national origin. Many people visit us for post-operative or rehabilitative care. Whatever the need, the highest standard of professional care is provided.
On March 15th, 2004, our "Let the Sunshine In" Solarium Project was unveiled and opened to our residents thanks to the generous support and gifts from our community and individual donors. Planning for the solarium had been in the works for over 15 years, and now the Transitional Care Unit is brightened with beautiful sunlight.
The solarium is a great place for residents and their families to spend time together away from the hospital room setting, and has glass-paneled walls and skylights that open up the 415 square foot structure to the sky. The Taylorville Art Association painted a mural on a nearby building to give our residents a delightful view from the solarium. Thanks to all of those who generously helped us with this project.
