Awards

Overall Excellence in Outcomes and Patient Perspectives

In 2015 and 2016, Taylorville Memorial Hospital was recognized by iVantage Health Analytics and the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health (NOSORH) for overall excellence in Outcomes and Patient Perspectives, reflecting top quartile performance among all acute care hospitals in the nation.

The recognition is based on iVantage's Hospital Strength Index and its measures of market conditions, clinical and operational performance and financial and qualitative outcomes.

“These top quartile performers should take great pride in this recognition.  It showcases their commitment to continuous performance analysis and improvement.  It’s an honor to celebrate their achievement as they continue to serve their communities despite the many market, regulatory and financial pressures they face.”  Said Michael Topchik, senior vice president of IVantage Health Analytics.

VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence

In May 2013, Taylorville Memorial Hospital was one of 40 hospitals and health systems in the country to earn the 2013 VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence, an award for excellence in achieving national performance standards for clinical quality, safety and patient experience.

"VHA's Leadership Award recognizes organizations that achieve top performance in care measures tracked by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service," Dan Raab, president and CEO of Taylorville Memorial Hospital, said. "We were honored to be the only hospital in Illinois to receive this distinction.

"Winners of the Clinical Value Leadership Award are selected based on a composite score consisting of three elements: a score based on core measures and the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Services survey results, 30-day readmission rates and Medicare cost data.

Quality Excellence Achievement Award

In September 2013, Memorial Health System was recognized for its efforts in reducing hospital-acquired pressure ulcers by the Illinois Hospital Association in their third annual Quality Excellence Achievement Awards. MHS captured top honors in the healthcare system category.

Quality Reporting

Quality indicators are provided to help you and your family understand how we perform in comparison to nationally recognized quality indicators. Quality indicators are compiled by Hospital Compare, a website created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in collaboration with organizations representing consumers, hospitals, doctors, employers, accrediting organizations and other federal agencies.

These quality reports reflect Memorial Health System's commitment to helping patients and their family members make informed healthcare choices. Measuring and monitoring our performance also helps us evaluate and improve how we care for our patients.
